Hopscotch Music Festival
When: Sept 4-6
Where: Raleigh, NC
Why: Celebrating its fifth year running strong, Hopscotch is an urban music festival held in downtown Raleigh that’s billed as one of the top experimental and underground music fests in the country.
Showcasing 160 bands over the course of three days, the festival draws from almost every genre of music, pulling local upstarts to international stalwarts. From the headlining stage in Raleigh’s City Plaza to up-close-and-personal club gigs, there are 13 walkable venues in the heart of the city to satisfy all of your musical needs. This year the festival will feature the inaugural Hopscotch Design Festival, as well as an art exhibition and a photography exhibit, offering one of the most unique festival experiences in America.
While you may need to enlist a project manager to plot out such a schedule with such a stacked lineup, with all the bright minds in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill), we don’t think you’ll have any problem finding one.
